My involvement:

Dino Party is for local or online play with 1-4 players on: Xbox One|X|S, PlayStation 4|5 and Nintendo Switch.

I created most aspects of Dino Party, with the exception of a few Unity assets, networking code and purchased sounds/music which I edited and implemented.

Key Game Mechanics:

  • Unlockable characters, when maps are unlocked or when the player collects enough stars (3 available in every level) new Dinos can be unlocked.
  • Different game modes: Skiing, PVP Arena mode and normal levels out-running the falling floor.
  • New mechanics are introduced frequently, for example: shooting snowballs, super dashing, crystal types, sticking to cactuses, pressure plates and comets falling from the sky.

My involvement and technical details:

Frosty's Rocket Workshop was created by a team of 3, and contracted for LOL (Legends Of Learning) an American online education platform. I lead the project making sure the game maintained a consistent style and integrated nicely with LOL's API alongside designing tools to speed up further work with LOL.

Frosty's Rocket Workshop is not up on the LOL website yet, so information here is minimal.

Key Game Mechanics:

  • Place rocket parts of varying shapes onto the rocket grid. Doing so will add additional distance onto the rockets projected journey, get the projected journeys distance correct in the current unit to launch Frosty's spaceship.
  • Once an acceptable rocket has been created, the player can control the rocket as it flies through the sky to reach its destination.
  • Create rocket parts in the blueprint puzzles that require conversions of  non-distance units like millilitres or grams. This will unlock that part for use within the main rocket creation section.
  • Fly through the sky and collect stars to unlock new levels.
